ALTITUDE FC NEWS

Hi Everyone,
shutterstock_142848295While it’s still January, our Spring Season is coming up quickly with a lot of approaching deadlines and excitement for the coming season. We’re working hard right now to begin the process of getting our league schedules confirmed, building schedules for our youth programs, training referees, and starting the training process for our advanced (competitive teams). For our developmental programs (4-14 year olds) we’re beginning to have meetings for coaches and prepare for our season start after Spring Break. In addition we have our after school programs happening at 7 different schools right now and a collection of camps set up for the spring and summer [LINK]. As a club dedicated to a full-service program to all our players, we’re looking forward to a fantastic spring season and we look forward to seeing you all out on the fields!

PARENT CORNER: Tools To Overcome Game Time Stress
6963671_l-1800-blurWe want to provide you with regular and useful articles and podcasts that make our club, players, and parents better in developing a culture around soccer. This article from US Youth Soccer (http://www.usyouthsoccer.org/) focuses on older players and helping them deal with stress during matches. Just as it is important to be physically prepared to play youth sports it is equally important for youth athletes to be mentally prepared to handle the pressure.
